ABOUT THE ATELIER GALLERY
The Atelier Gallery was brought into being in October 2024 with its inaugural exhibition pictured below in October of 2024. That exhibition was a series of works from the proprietor’s collection to introduce the Atelier Gallery to Salmon Arm and area. The artists shown were varied and was well received. The Atelier Gallery and is located in the heart of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, at the corner of Hudson Ave. and Ross St. and its address is 321 Hudson Ave. NE, Salmon Arm, B.C. The Atelier a way of being Gallery is gearing up to represent a wide variety of artists, especially from the Okanagan and Shuswap regions. The object is to exhibit an extraordinary array of original artworks by talented Canadian artists.
The Atelier gallery is located on one of Salmon Arm’s original streets in the the downtown core, Hudson Avenue, right above the Book Nook book store. The Atelier Gallery has a descriptive name, a way of being, which signals to one and all that the space in which the art is exhibited will also be a place for one to stop, and get out of one’s everyday rushing mind, and explore what is happening for them in the space. Along with exhibiting the creations of artists, the space will be used for meditation three nights per week beginning in January 2025. The proprietor invites one and all to explore the creative expressions of many diverse artists over time, to explore one’s own areas of interest and reactions arising from the art exhibited in the gallery, and to bring it all into perspective for oneself during the meditation sessions commencing in 2025. From abstracted creations to figurative drawings and paintings, local and far away landscapes to stylized and abstracted landscapes, contemporary and historical pieces, wildlife to portraits, intricate mixed media paintings and all manner of sculptures in stone, glass, and bronze. The goal is to create a space for self-discovery, just stopping in this fast moving, never stopping world in which we find ourselves, in which the public can enter and simply be in front of the showcase present in front of them, a rich tapestry of artistic vision.

The Atelier gallery will be offering artworks to fit every budget, and and the proprietor will be present to assist you in acquiring pieces that speak to your heart through what will be convenient and workable payment plans.
Along with the goal of creating a space for anyone to experience a break in one’s day for self-discovery, the proprietor hopes that customers will journey by stepping out of their comfort zone perhaps and experience the joy of trying that work of art that speaks to you in your home for a week. At the Atelier gallery, the goal will be to foster a welcoming, no-pressure atmosphere for everyone—artists, families, collectors, and casual browsers alike — to appreciate the myriad ways our artists interpret the world around them. You will be encouraged to immerse yourself in the stories behind each exhibited art work and be touched by the passion that fueled the artist.
Every visit to the Atelier gallery will be an invitation to explore, connect, and be inspired by the world of art that surrounds us and is brought to the walls by the artist. The proprietor invites one and all to join us here in this special space for special events, artists’ talks, workshops, and meditation, all of which will nurture creativity and community engagement. Artworks are not merely to be viewed, but to be experienced and celebrated. Studies recently conducted suggest strongly that the presence of creative endeavours in one’s own home lower the stress which follows us from the workplace to the home.
